Please read the following information regarding the policies and procedures to which The SurfShare adheres:

Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Like most website operators, The SurfShare collects non-personally identifiable information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available. Some examples include: the browser type, language preference, referring site and the date and time of each visitor request. The SurfShare’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifiable information is to better understand how its visitors use the Site. From time to time, The SurfShare may release non-personally-identifiable information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends of the usage of its Site.

Personally Identifiable Information. The SurfShare also collects potential personally identifiable information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for users who are logged in. The SurfShare only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally identifiable information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

User Submission of Personally Identifiable Information. Certain visitors to the Site choose to interact with The SurfShare in ways that require us to gather personally identifiable information. The amount and type of information that The SurfShare gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. In each case, The SurfShare collects such information only as necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with The SurfShare. The SurfShare does not disclose personally identifiable information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally identifiable information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the Site, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. The SurfShare will not rent or sell potential personally identifiable and personally identifiable information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, The SurfShare discloses potentially personally identifiable and personally identifiable information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when The SurfShare believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of The SurfShare, third parties or the public at large.
